Welcome to Beauty Base Limited! The terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Beauty Base Limited. Beauty Base Limited operates this store and website, including all related information, content, features, tools, products and services in order to provide you, the customer, with a curated shopping experience (the “Services”).
Beauty Base Limited is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you.
The below terms and conditions, together with any policies referenced herein (these “Terms of Service” or “Terms”) describe your rights and responsibilities when you use the Services.
Please read these Terms of Service carefully, as they include important information about your legal rights and cover areas such as warranty disclaimers and limitations of liability.
By visiting, interacting with or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms of Service or Privacy Policy, you should not use or access our Services.
SECTION 1 - ACCESS AND ACCOUNT
1.1 By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your city or province of residence, and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use the Services on devices you own, purchase or manage.
1.2 To use the Services, including accessing or browsing our online stores or purchasing any of the products or services we offer, you may be asked to provide certain information, such as your email address, billing, payment, and shipping information. You represent and warrant that all the information you provide in our stores is correct, current and complete and that you have all rights necessary to provide this information.
1.3 You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all of your account activity. You may not transfer, sell, assign, or license your account to any other person.
SECTION 2 - OUR PRODUCTS
2.1 We undertake all reasonable care to ensure that all the details, prices and descriptions of website products are accurate at the time when the appropriate information was entered into our system.
2.2 All product photography is for illustrative purposes only, and the actual item may vary in colour, design and product size. Colours or product appearance may differ from how they may appear on your screen due to the type of device you use, your device settings and configuration.
2.3 We do not warrant that the appearance or quality of any products or services purchased by you will meet your expectations or be the same as depicted or rendered in our online stores.
2.4 All descriptions of products are subject to change at any time without notice at our sole discretion.
2.5 We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time and may limit the quantities of any products that we offer to any person, geographic region or jurisdiction, on a case-by-case basis.
2.6 Free gifts with purchase are subject to availability. On rare occasions, free gifts may be advertised when they are no longer available. In these instances, we reserve the right to offer no replacement item.
SECTION 3 - ORDERS
3.1 When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase. Beauty Base Limited reserves the right to accept or decline your order for any reason at its discretion. Your order is not accepted until Beauty Base Limited confirms acceptance.
3.2 We must receive and process your payment before your order is accepted.
3.3 Please review your order carefully before submitting, as Beauty Base Limited may be unable to accommodate cancellation requests after an order is accepted. In the event that we do not accept, make a change to, or cancel an order, we will attempt to notify you by contacting the e‑mail, billing address, and/or phone number provided at the time the order was made.
3.4 Your purchases are subject to return or exchange solely in accordance with our Refund Policy [section 6].
3.5 You represent and warrant that your purchases are for your own personal or household use and not for commercial resale or export.
3.6 We may be unable to process your order, thus result in cancellation if:
a) The product you ordered is out of stock or discontinued
b) There is an issue with payment authorization on your credit/debit card
3.7 Bulk Orders: Our agreements with the major brand houses include clauses where we agree not to sell fragrance on for the purpose of resale. Where we suspect that customers are buying large numbers of items for the purposes of reselling them, we reserve the right to cancel these orders at any point up to the items being dispatched.
3.8 Free Samples with Online Orders: We endeavour to provide free samples with orders placed via our website. The selection of samples is subject to availability at the time of the order
3.9 Discount Codes: Our discount codes are restricted to one use per household.
a) Customers found to be using the same discount code multiple times will result in orders being cancelled and refunded.
b) Student discounts apply to online purchases only. These cannot be used with in-store purchases.
c) Only 1 discount code can be applied per basket at checkout.
SECTION 4 - PRICES AND BILLING
4.1 Prices, discounts and promotions are subject to change without notice. The price charged for a product or service will be the price in effect at the time the order is placed and will be set out in your order confirmation email. Unless otherwise expressly stated, posted prices do not include taxes, shipping, handling, customs or import charges.
4.2 Prices posted in our online stores may be different from prices offered in physical stores or in online or other stores operated by third parties. We may offer, from time to time, promotions on the Services that may affect pricing and that are governed by terms and conditions separate from these Terms. If there is a conflict between the terms for a promotion and these Terms, the promotion terms will govern.
4.3 You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase, payment and account information for all purchases made at our stores. You agree to promptly update your account and other information, including your email address, credit card numbers and expiration dates, so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.
4.4 You represent and warrant that (i) the credit card information you provide is true, correct, and complete, (ii) you are duly authorised to use such credit card for the purchase, (iii) charges incurred by you will be honoured by your credit card company, and (iv) you will pay charges incurred by you at the posted prices, including shipping and handling charges and all applicable taxes, if any.
If the issuer of your card refuses to authorise payment, we will not accept your order and will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery. We are not obliged to inform you of the refusal and are not responsible for your card issuer charging you as a result of processing of your credit/debit card payment in accordance with your order.
4.5 Payments made on our website are secure due to our payment gateway system which does not store payment information.
4.6 Due to security measures we do not take any orders and/or payment information over the phone.
SECTION 5 - SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
5.1 We are not liable for shipping and delivery delays. All delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, customs processing, or events outside our control. Once we transfer products to the carrier, title and risk of loss passes to you.
5.2 We will deliver directly to the delivery address specified in your order. If we are unable to dispatch it due to a delivery address error, we will contact you. If we do not hear back from you within 7 days, we reserve the right to cancel your order.
5.3 Deliveries to workplaces, hotels, educational facilities, shared accommodation and/or self-storage units – we will not be held liable for deliveries that are signed for by reception, concierge, flatmate etc. Tracking references are emailed to customers to monitor progress of delivery. We cannot be held responsible if a parcel is stolen, lost or missing if it is left in the public reception or entrance of your specified address.
5.4 Parcels returned to us by Royal Mail/Courier Services returned to us for the following reasons (list is non-exhaustive) will be refunded minus any delivery fees applicable:
a) Addressee gone away, inaccessible, unknown, uncalled for.
b) No access to property.
c) No such address.
5.5 Risk and Ownership: Once delivered, the products ordered become your responsibility.
5.6 It is the customers responsibility to track their parcel, ensuring you are home to collect the parcel on the day of the delivery. We cannot be held liable if the delivery is a missed and goes missing as a result.
Missing parcel: According to Royal Mail, orders not received will be classified as missing only after 10 working days have passed*. Only after 10 working days from the time of delivery are passed, we are able to submit the claim for a missing parcel.
*We are unable to submit a claim on your behalf any time before these 10 working days have passed as Royal Mail will not accept it into their system.
Once the claim is submitted it might take up to 30 business days for a resolution to be passed by Royal Mail upon their investigation. Subject to the investigation being completed and only after the period of time mentioned above, you would be able to receive a refund.
5.7 If your package is delivered with any visible signs of damage or tampering:
a) Please sign the courier’s paperwork by mentioning that the package was delivered in that condition and retain all packaging; should there be a discrepancy in delivery, all packaging and box should be retained.
b) Inform us via email at online@beautybase.com as soon as possible by attaching pictures of the packaging.
c) This will allow us to make a valid claim if there are any damages or breakages.
5.8 While we do always ensure that all packages are dispatched in good condition, some damages may occur during transit. Please ensure you follow the steps a) to c) to ensure a speedy claim request.
5.9 Unfortunately, at the moment, due to courier restrictions, we do not deliver internationally.

SECTION 6 - RETURNS AND REFUNDS
Our policy on returns, refunds and cancelations does not affect your statutory legal rights.
6.1 Returns to one of our physical stores:
a) Please note that if you wish to use one of our physical stores to return an item, you must notify us via email at online@beautybase.com.
b) Once we authorise the request we will inform the store in question. Please note that no refunds or exchanges will be performed in store as the purchase was made via our online store. Once we are in receipt of the package, we will process the refund as outlined. Please note you can use our physical stores as a drop off location only, granted you get prior written authorization (cannot be used as a pickup point).
6.2 For unwanted items.
Please immediately contact us via email at online@beautybase.com upon receipt of order. Ensure the items are returned within 14 days once we authorise and instruct the return.
If we do not receive the items within 14 days, we will close the query and conclude that the order is satisfactory and no further actions is required. Ensure these are unused and in original sale condition you received. Please note you are responsible for postage cost.
Once we receive the item and check that it matches the batch code and is in the same condition it was dispatched, we will process the refund for the cost of the goods only.
Refund will be processed immediately, however allow 3-5 business days to clear with your bank.
Items must be returned in the condition you received them, which includes keeping any seals in place. You will lose your right to return an item if you unseal or use a product in any way.
The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations give us the right to refuse or reduce the amount of refund that you receive, in the event that non faulty items being returned are damaged or used in any way. The amount which we might reduce your refund by will be dependent on the decrease in value of your use of the item. You should note that should your use mean that your items cannot be resold, this reduction may be 100%.
6.3 For faulty and/or incorrect/ missing items
a) Please contact us within 48 hours via email at online@beautybase.com upon receipt of order and await instructions; where necessary we might require photographic evidence of the faulty or damaged item as well as outer packaging. If items are missing, we require images photographic evidence of the outer packaging. This is required when making a claim with the couriers.
Please note: You MUST contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order if there is a fault with the product.
b) We can offer an exchange or refund as appropriate. Once we authorise and instruct the return/exchange, we will send you a returns label; we will refund the cost of return for the value of standard delivery service.
c) Please ensure the items are returned within 14 days once we authorise and instruct the return. If we do not receive the items within 14 days, we will close the query and conclude that the order is satisfactory and no further actions is required.
d) Once we receive the item and check that it matches the batch code and is in the same condition it was dispatched (except to the extent reasonably necessary to examine them), we will process the refund.
e) Refund will be processed immediately, however allow 3-5 business days to clear with your bank. We will refund the value of the original transaction; return postage costs will be applied as a credit to your Beauty Base account or a check to the value sent.
6.4 Refunds
a) For unwanted items we will refund the full amount upon receipt of the items; please note you are responsible for postage cost to return the parcel.
b) For faulty items we will refund you the full amount upon receipt of the items.
c) We will notify you of your refund via email within a reasonable time period.
d) We will refund any amount received from you using the same method you originally used to pay for the items.
e) Refunds for items purchased as gift can only be given to the credit/debit card of the person who placed the order. We aim to process the refund as soon as possible, and in any case, within 30 days of you cancelling the order.
SECTION 7 - INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
7.1 Our Services, including but not limited to all trademarks, brands, text, displays, images, graphics, product reviews, video, and audio, and the design, selection, and arrangement thereof, are owned by Beauty Base Limited, its affiliates or licensors and are protected by U.K. and foreign patent, copyright and other intellectual property laws.
7.2 These Terms permit you to use the Services for your personal, non-commercial use only. You must not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any of the material on the Services without our prior written consent. Unauthorised use of the Services may be a violation of federal and state intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted herein are reserved by Beauty Base Limited.
7.3 Beauty Base Limited’s names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of Beauty Base Limited or its affiliates or licensors. You must not use such trademarks without the prior written permission of Beauty Base Limited.
SECTION 8 - THIRD-PARTY LINKS
8.1 The Services may contain materials and hyperlinks to websites provided or operated by third parties (including any embedded third-party functionality). We are not responsible for examining or evaluating the content or accuracy of any third-party materials or websites you choose to access. If you decide to leave the Services to access these materials or third-party sites, you do so at your own risk.
8.2 We are not liable for any harm or damages related to your access of any third-party websites, or your purchase or use of any products, services, resources, or content on any third-party websites. Please review carefully the third-party's policies and practices and make sure you understand them before you engage in any transaction. Complaints, claims, concerns, or questions regarding third-party products and services should be directed to the third-party.
SECTION 9 - RELATIONSHIP WITH SHOPIFY
Beauty Base Limited is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you. However, any sales and purchases you make in our Store are made directly with Beauty Base Limited. By using the Services, you acknowledge and agree that Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of any sales between you and Beauty Base Limited, including any injury, damage, or loss resulting from purchased products and services. You hereby expressly release Shopify and its affiliates from all claims, damages, and liabilities arising from or related to your purchases and transactions with Beauty Base Limited.
SECTION 10 - PRIVACY POLICY
10.1 All personal information we collect through the Services is subject to our Privacy Policy and certain personal information may be subject to Shopify’s Privacy Policy, which can be viewed here. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read these privacy policies.
10.2 Because the Services are hosted by Shopify, Shopify collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Services in order to provide and improve the Services for you. Information you submit to the Services will be transmitted to and shared with Shopify as well as third parties that may be located in other countries than where you reside, in order to provide services to you.
SECTION 11 - ERRORS, INACCURACIES AND OMISSIONS
Occasionally there may be information on or in the Services that contain typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions that may relate to product descriptions, pricing, promotions, offers, product shipping charges, transit times and availability.
We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions, and to change or update information or cancel orders if any information is inaccurate at any time without prior notice (including after you have submitted your order).
SECTION 12 - PROHIBITED USES
You may access and use the Services for lawful purposes only. You may not access or use the Services, directly or indirectly:

In addition, you agree not to: (a) upload or transmit viruses or any other type of malicious code that will or may be used in any way that will affect the functionality or operation of the Services; (b) reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any portion of the Services; (c) collect or track the personal information of others; (d) spam, phish, pharm, pretext, spider, crawl, or scrape; or (e) interfere with or circumvent the security features of the Services or any related website, other websites, or the Internet. We reserve the right to suspend, disable, or terminate your account at any time, without notice, if we determine that you have violated any part of these Terms.
SECTION 13 - TERMINATION
We may terminate this agreement or your access to the Services (or any part thereof) in our sole discretion at any time without notice, and you will remain liable for all amounts due up to and including the date of termination.
The following sections will continue to apply following any termination: Intellectual Property, Feedback, Termination, Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Severability, Waiver; Entire Agreement, Assignment, Governing Law, Privacy Policy, and any other provisions that by their nature should survive termination.
SECTION 14 - DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
14.1 The information presented on or through the Services is made available solely for general information purposes. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of this information. Any reliance you place on such information is strictly at your own risk.
14.2 We disclaim all liability and responsibility arising from any reliance placed on such materials by you or any other visitor to the Services, or by anyone who may be informed of any of its contents. 14.3 We do not guarantee, represent or warrant that your use of the services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free. Some jurisdictions limit or do not allow the disclaimer of implied or other warranties so the above disclaimer may not apply to you.
SECTION 15 - INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Beauty Base Limited, Shopify, and our affiliates, partners, officers, directors, employees, agents, contractors, licensors, and service providers from any losses, damages, liabilities or claims, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, payable to any third party due to or arising out of (1) your breach of these Terms of Service or the documents they incorporate by reference, (2) your violation of any law or the rights of a third party, or (3) your access to and use of the Services.
We will notify you of any indemnifiable claim, provided that a failure to promptly notify will not relieve you of your obligations unless you are materially prejudiced. We may control the defence and settlement of such claim at your expense, including choice of counsel, but will not settle any claim requiring non-monetary obligations from you without your consent (not to be unreasonably withheld). You and Beauty Base Limited consent to venue and personal jurisdiction in such courts.
